Ángel Luis Ortiz Monasterio Castellanos
Ángel Luis Ortiz Monasterio Castellanos (born November 6, 1942 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican ambassador .
Life
Ángel Luis Ortiz Monasterio Castellanos studied international relations at the Colegio de México and entered the foreign service in 1964. He headed the North American Department of the Diplomatic Service in the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE), Public Relations in the SRE and the Programas Fronterizos de la Secretaría de Educación Pública . He was also director general of the human rights department in the Secretaría de Gobernación .
He was accredited at the embassies in Havana, Quebec, San José (Costa Rica) and Santo Domingo.
He was Professor of Diplomatic Law, International Law and the History of Diplomacy in the Faculty of Political Science at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México .
During his time in Tehran, he was also accredited by the government in Tajikistan .
