Ángel Torres Ranchero

Ángel Torres García (born August 2, 1916 in Zapopan , Jalisco , † April 21, 2003 in Guadalajara , Jalisco), also known by the nickname Ranchero , was a Mexican football player on the position of goalkeeper .

career

At the beginning of the 1940s "Ranchero" Torres was Evaristo Murillo's substitute goalkeeper at Union Deportiva Moctezuma de Orizaba . After the introduction of professional football in Mexico , he was under contract from 1943 to 1949 with Atlas Guadalajara , with whom he won the Mexican Cup and the Supercup in the 1945/46 season.
