With two goals from his compatriot Norberto Pairoux in the 16th and 32nd minutes, Atlas went into the break with a 2-1 lead. Nicolau equalized in the second half with a goal in the 57th minute, before the Spaniard Martí Ventolrà gave Atlante another opening goal in the 74th minute. Atlas owed extra time to a penalty that was converted to 3: 3 shortly before the end, again by Pairoux . In this, Rafael Meza ensured the renewed lead in favor of Atlante after just four minutes.
