Copa México 1950/51

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Copa MX 1950-51 was the ninth edition of the football - cup competition since the introduction of professional football in Mexico . Cup winners for the first time under professional conditions and for the second time in total were the team of the CF Atlante , which was last successful in 1941/42 when the cup tournament was officially held as an amateur event for the last time.

The cup tournament was held following the league round of the 1950/51 season. The twelve teams that were represented in the top division in the same season were eligible to participate . Because of the small number of participants and a correspondingly designed mode, two teams went through in the round of 16 and one team in the quarter-finals.
