Salvador Mota (born April 10, 1922 in Guadalajara , † February 10, 1986 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican football goalkeeper .

Mota began his active career in 1942 with the capital city club América and in 1944 switched to CD Guadalajara , where he was under contract until 1947. For the longest time of his playing career Mota worked for CF Atlante , with whom he won the Copa México in the seasons 1950/51 and 1951/52 and in 1952 (with a 1-0 win against León ) also the Mexican Supercup .

Salvador Mota was part of the Mexican World Cup squad in 1954 and played the first round match for "el Tri" against Brazil (0: 5). It was the only international match in his career. Otherwise, the Mexican goalkeeper legend Antonio Carbajal was guarding the national team's goal at the time .
