The Copa México 1940/41 was the penultimate cup tournament of the Copa México before the introduction of professional football in Mexico . Cup winner for the eighth time was the record winner CF Asturias , who already recorded his second title hat trick by winning the title. This time, however, he won the final at the green table after the cup final against old Spanish rivals Real Club España in Parque Necaxa failed to find a winner and Club España refused to play the required replay in Parque Asturias , his opponent's stadium.

The cup tournament was played following the league round of the 1940/41 season and was played by the six teams from Mexico City that were represented in the top division in the same season . The two first division clubs not coming from the capital - Moctezuma from the city of Orizaba in eastern Mexico and the Selección Jalisco from the city of Guadalajara in western Mexico - did not participate.
