Copa México 1969/70

The Copa MX 1969/70 was the 28th edition of the football - cup competition since the introduction of professional football in Mexico . The tournament was played before the league round of the 1969/70 season. The 16 teams that were represented in the top division in the same season were eligible to participate . Cup winners for the second time in their history was the team of CD Guadalajara , which was more successful in the championship , won their first double this season and thus automatically became Campeón de Campeones .

The encounters were played in the knockout system . All rounds (including the finals) were played in home and away games with one home right for the two opponents.
