Jaime López Salazar

Jaime López Salazar (born April 20, 1949 in Guadalajara , Jalisco , † June 27, 1974 ibid) was a Mexican football player on the position of central defender .

Life

For the first time in the 1968/69 season López succeeded in jumping into the first team of his home club Chivas Guadalajara , with which he won both the Mexican championship and the cup competition in the following season 1969/70 .

Jaime López played exclusively for Chivas throughout his life and died at the age of only 25 after being caught in an exchange of fire and being hit by ten bullets.
