Copa Tower 1907/08

The 1907/08 Copa Tower was the first to host the Mexican soccer cup, which was renamed Copa México in 1932 . The tournament, which was initiated by the British ambassador Reginald Thomas Tower (1860-1939) and named after him, was originally intended to be played only once, but then took place in the following seasons. The first cup tournament in Mexico was played between the four teams that also played the Mexican football championship in the same season (1907/08) . It was won by the team of the Pachuca Athletic Club without a win in the championship round (4 draws and 2 defeats) with a record of 3-0 goals.

The tournament was held following the championship in a knockout process . It began with the encounter between Club México and the British Club on January 12, 1908, and ended with the cup final on February 2, 1908.
