Enrique Larrinaga (born June 20, 1910 in Basauri , Basque Country , † May 8, 1993 ) was a Spanish football player who played in midfield .

Life

Larrinaga came to Real Racing Club de Santander at the age of 17 when the Spanish Primera División was introduced in the 1928/29 season . In the 1930/31 season Larrinaga was involved in the greatest success in club history, when the runner-up behind Athletic Bilbao could be won.

As a result of the Spanish Civil War , the soccer championship came to a standstill for a period of three years, Larrinaga was like many of his countrymen to Mexico , where he in the season 1938/39 for the CD Euzkadi played and also with the founded by Spanish immigrants Club Asturias the Championship of the Capital League won. Up to and including the 1941/42 season he played with the Asturianos before moving to their arch rivals España , with whom he was still able to actively experience the introduction of the Mexican Primera División in the 1943/44 season .

On April 2, 1933 Larrinaga played his only international match for the Spanish national team , which was won 3-0 against Portugal.
