Career

Casarín made his debut on February 9, 1936 at the age of 17 in the shirt of Club Necaxa , which at that time was experiencing the most successful era in the club's history. The Necaxa team at the time, four-time champions in the 1930s, was also known as Once hermanos (the eleven brothers) because of the great camaraderie . Just a year and a half later, the 19-year-old talent made his debut in the Mexican national team on September 12, 1937 in a game against the unloved neighbor north of the Rio Grande , which the Mexicans won 7-2 and to which Casarín was able to contribute a goal.

In the summer of 1942 Casarín left Club Necaxa and signed with the league rival Atlante , for whom he worked successfully for several years, scored 95 goals and with whom he won the championship in 1946/47.

Casarín, who was under contract with Real Club España at the time , also played all of the Mexican national team's games at the 1950 World Cup in Brazil and scored a penalty goal in the last game in a 2-1 draw against Switzerland .

After the World Cup, he laced his soccer boots for Club Necaxa again and was the top scorer in the first division for the only time in his career that season (1950/51). He later played for the CD Zacatepec before ending his active career in the ranks of the CF Monterrey . He played his farewell game on November 18, 1956 in a game against CD Tampico .
