Antonio López Herranz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Antonio López Herranz (born May 4, 1913 , † 1959 ) was a Spanish football player and coach .

Due to the poor sources, it can only be understood that López Herranz was under contract during his playing career for two seasons (1935/36 and 1939/40) with Real Madrid and one season (1940/41) with Hércules CF. In addition, he probably won the Mexican championship with the CD Marte in 1942/43 and the Supercup in September 1943 .

From his time as a coach it is known that he worked for a long time in Mexico , where he was twice champion (1952 and 1956) and once runner-up (1959) with Club León . He also coached the national team a total of 22 times between 1952 and 1958, including at the 1954 and 1958 World Championships .
