Víctor Manuel Vucetich Rojas

Víctor Manuel Vucetich Rojas (born June 25, 1955 in Tampico , Tamaulipas ) is a Mexican football coach and former player who worked for Club León , CF Atlante and CF Oaxtepec during his playing days .

He made his coaching debut on June 27, 1990 for Club León, with which he won the Mexican championship in 1992. In 1993 he moved to UAG Tecos , with whom he won his second championship title straight away; Incidentally, the only championship title of this club so far. In 1995 Vucetich switched to the UANL Tigres and from then on did not work for any club for more than just a year. Cruz Azul followed in 1996/97 , before returning to UAG Tecos in 1997/98, Club León in early 1999 and UANL Tigres in 1999/00. After further positions at CF La Piedad (2001/02) and Puebla FC (2002/03), he won his third championship title with CF Pachuca in the Clausura 2004, which exactly five years later with the CF Monterrey in the Clausura 2009 his fourth and so far the last title followed.

On September 12, 2013, he succeeded José Manuel de la Torre as coach of the Mexican national football team .

In Apertura 2016, the Querétaro FC team he trained won the Mexican cup competition .
