Ricardo Escandón

Ricardo Escandón Ruiz (born September 22, 1927 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .

Life

Ricardo Escandón spent the seasons 1947/48 to 1953/54 at CF Atlante , with whom he won the Mexican Cup competition in the 1950/51 and 1951/52 seasons and the 1952 Supercup . In the seasons 1948/49 and 1950/51 Escandón was the most successful goalscorer of his club in the top Mexican division .

Ricardo Escandón was the youngest of five brothers, all of whom played football. He also had a sister, Laura Escandón Ruiz (1931-2000), who was younger. His brothers Julián (1917–1994), Leopoldo (1919–2002), Ángel José (1920–2003) and Manuel (* 1923) all played for the Asociación Deportiva Orizabeña in the 1946/47 season .
