Felipe Zetter (born July 3, 1923 , † March 15, 2013 in Guadalajara ) was a Mexican football player who acted in defense .

biography

Zetter played for Atlas Guadalajara all his life , with whom he experienced all the ups and downs. He was in the opening season of the Primera División 1943/44 and in the cup victories in 1946 and 1950 as well as in the club's only championship in the 1950/51 season as team captain and the subsequent Supercup victories in 1946, 1950 and 1951. He was also involved in the club's first relegation to the Segunda División at the end of the 1953/54 season and in the immediate resurgence in the 1954/55 season.

National team

Zetter made his debut in the Mexican national team on September 4, 1949 in a 6-0 victory over arch rivals USA. He played his fifth and last international match at the 1950 World Cup against hosts Brazil, which was lost 4-0.

After his active time, Zetter worked for many years as a functionary for the Club Atlas and, as the representative of his former club, held the presidential role of the Club Unidos de Jalisco , the operating company of the Estadio Jalisco founded by the Atlas, Chivas and Oro associations , which presides every three years for one year alternately by representatives of these three clubs. Zetter held the presidency in 1964, 1967 and 1970.
