Ángela Pumariega Menéndez (born November 12, 1984 in Gijón ) is a Spanish sailor .
successes
Ángela Pumariega took part in the 2012 Olympic Games in London with Sofía Toro as a crew member of helmsman Támara Echegoyen in the boat class Elliott 6m . In the regatta held in the match race , the Spanish boat qualified third in the group stage for the quarter-finals. After beating France, the Russian boat was also beaten in the semi-finals before beating the Australians 3-2 in the final, making Pumariega, Toro and Echegoyen Olympic champions . Pumariega was European champion in the Elliott the year before. After the games she switched to the 470 boat class .
