The Árbæjarfoss is a waterfall in the south of Iceland .
It is located 4 km north-northeast of Hella . The place is on the ring road . From here the Árbæjarvegur branches off to the north and also leads to the waterfall. At some rocks in the Ytri-Rangá river , the water falls about 10 meters. The waterfall takes its name from the Árbær farm on the west bank, which also has a church. The writer Margrét Jónsdóttir was born on it. The farm has nothing to do with the former farm and today 's museum of the same name in Reykjavík .
