Other items are also on display, such as Coptic icons , oil paintings and a painted limestone bust of Meritamun , daughter and queen of Ramses II.

The cosmetics used in ancient Egypt and the ancient Egyptian hair accessories, wigs, creams, perfumes and jewelry that fall into this category are on display . The sports of the time such as hunting and fishing also play a role, but musical instruments and dance as well as musical performances from the Pharaohs to modern times are also represented.

Most of the artifacts on display in the Hurghada Museum were taken from depots in the Red Sea region, but they also come from the rest of the country.

building

The Hurghada Museum is a one-story building that covers an area of 3,000 square meters. In contrast to many other museums in Egypt, this construction in Hurghada was completely privately financed, although the profit of the Egyptian Museum in Hurghada will in future be divided between it and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiques.

However, the management and administration of the newly built Egyptian Museum in Hurghada, which costs up to 185 million Egyptian pounds (approx. 11 million euros), is left entirely to government officials under the supervision of the ministry.
