Åke Lundeberg (born December 14, 1888 in Gävle ; † May 29, 1939 there ) was a Swedish sports shooter .

successes

Åke Lundeberg took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm . In the trap , he finished 20th in the individual ranking, while he just missed a medal win with the team in fourth. The competitions in the running stag were more successful : in the single shot competition he scored 41 points, so that there was a jump-off between him and the tied Alfred Swahn and Nestori Toivonen . Lundeberg managed 17 goals in this, three fewer than Swahn, but six more than Toivonen, with which he won the silver medal. Lundeberg became Olympic champion in both the single-shot team classification and the double-shot classification . With 151 points, the Swedish team, whose shooters had occupied top places in the individual ratings and were therefore considered favorites in the competition, 19 goals ahead of the US team. In the double shot he achieved a new Olympic record with 79 points.

Lundeberg was a military officer and forest manager. During the Olympic Games in 1912 he worked at the state forest school in Kloten .
