Çıralı is a village in the district of Kemer in the Turkish province of Antalya and is administered by Ulupınar .

Çıralı is located by the sea next to the ancient city of Olympos , which is why it is often used as a starting point for excursions to Olympos and the nearby Chimaira . The place is on the Lycian Way , a long-distance hiking trail along the Lycian coast.

history

Çıralı was founded in the early 19th century. In the 50s to 60s the arable land was enlarged. Today tourism and especially ecotourism play an important role alongside agriculture . The settlement was established illegally because the sea turtle Caretta Caretta lays its eggs on the beach in Çıralı . The village operates ecotourism and is supported by the WWF . There are no large hotel buildings, but there are many guest houses with wooden bungalows.
