Édouard-Félix Guyon

Édouard-Félix Guyon (born February 24, 1902 in Paris ; † in the 20th century) was a French diplomat , most recently with the rank of ambassador.

Life

Édouard-Félix Guyon studied at the École libre des sciences politiques in Paris and entered the foreign service in 1927 . From 1927 to 1932 he was an attaché in Prague . From 1932 to 1936 he served at the Ministry's headquarters on the Quai d'Orsay . From 1936 until the beginning of the war on September 1, 1939, he was the embassy secretary in Warsaw . He left Warsaw with the Polish government and became First Class Embassy Secretary in Bucharest. He was later recalled by the Vichy regime and became head of the General Secretariat of the French Foreign Ministry. From 1942 he had close contact with the French Committee for National Liberation in Algiers . He was part of a liaison group between France and Algiers that formed the basis for the French Foreign Ministry from 1945 onwards. He was a member of the French delegation to the San Francisco Conference . In November 1945 he was transferred to the embassy in Bern . From 1946 to 1949 he was Ministre plénipotentiaire in Bern. From June 11, 1949 to November 24, 1952 he was ambassador to Tel Aviv . From March 30, 1949 to September 17, 1957 he was ambassador to Montevideo . From September 16, 1957 to April 7, 1962 he was ambassador to Luxembourg .
