Eric Chevallier

Éric Chevallier (born April 5, 1960 in Paris ) is a French diplomat .

Life

Éric Chevallier studied until 1987 at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris , until 1989 at the University of Paris V medicine , where he received his doctorate. In May 1989 he became program manager at the Center International de l'Enfance , an advisory organization of the WHO, UNICEF, UNDP and the World Bank . In March 1995 he became a member of the UNAIDS creative team . In December 1996 he became managing director of Aide Médicale Internationale . In October 1997 he became technical advisor to the Secretary of State for Health. In July 1999 he took part in the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo , Pristina. In February 2001, he became special advisor to the Minister of Health. In May 2002, he became Deputy Director for International Crisis Monitoring at the Secrétariat général de la défense et de la sécurité nationale, the Prime Minister's Office of Defense; In 2002 he became a lecturer at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris , until 2009 he was a lecturer at the École nationale d'administration and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne . In January 2005 he became tsunami coordinator for the French Foreign Ministry. In January 2006 he became Director of International Missions of Doctors of the World . In July 2008 he became Head of Public Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (France) . From September 13, 2009 to November 16, 2011 he was ambassador to Damascus .
