Ö3 Christmas miracle
The Ö3 Christmas Miracle is a fundraising campaign that has been held annually since 2014 for the benefit of the Licht ins Dunkel emergency aid fund. The campaign is organized by Ö3 and lasts a total of 120 hours. During these 120 hours, each person can ask for a song if a donation is made for it. Donations can be made by phone, online or directly on site using a donation envelope.
procedure
The Ö3 Christmas miracle rotates annually with the event location through the federal states, which is why the decision on the next event location has been announced one to two months after Christmas. Once the decision has been made, the dream hut will be set up in a suitable place in the weeks before Christmas . It is a container-like glass structure that contains equipment for moderating and broadcasting radio programs. The three presenters Robert Kratky, Gabi Hiller and Andi Knoll spend most of the 120 hours in it. In addition, during the Advent fasting campaign , they are only allowed to consume liquid food. During the 5 days, the three moderators also receive support in moderating and donating from well-known public figures - such as singers, politicians, associations, or actors.
