The VT 70 of the Austrian Federal Railways was a diesel-electric luggage railcar . At the ÖBB it was given the series designation 5070.

history

In 1933, the BBÖ ordered ten luggage railcars for more efficient operation. This railcar had a baggage compartment and could carry train loads of up to 200 tons. The area of ​​application extended to the greater Linz and Villach area .

The ÖBB took over nine vehicles after the Second World War and seven of them were reactivated. On May 28, 1960, the 5070.09, the last vehicle in this series, retired.
