Austrian Society for Acoustics
The Austrian Society for Acoustics ( AAA-OeGA for Austrian Acoustics Association - Austrian Society for Acoustics ) is an Austrian professional association in the field of acoustics .
The OeGA was founded in 1996. Before that, many Austrian acousticians were organized in the German Society for Acoustics (DEGA) . The seat of the OeGa is Salzburg .
The objectives of the OeGA are:
- Promotion of the field of acoustics in Austria
- Improvement of the communication between Austrian acousticians of various disciplines
- Promotion of the next generation of acousticians
- Representation of Austria in the European Acoustics Association (EAA) and the International Commission for Acoustics (ICA)
