The eastern Erlsbach peak is 3015  m above sea level. A. high mountain peaks of the Panargenkamm in the Venediger group . The summit is in the north-west of East Tyrol in the municipality of St. Jakob in Defereggen .

history

The two Erlsbach peaks appear in almost all maps and guide books only as elevation marks. It was not until after 2000 that members of the Lienz Alpine Club initiated the designation.

location

The eastern Erlsbacherspitze is located on the southeast ridge of the Alplesspitze between the western Erlsbacherspitze ( 3035  m above sea level ) in the northwest and the Seespitze ( 3021  m above sea level ) in the southeast. In the west is the Kar des Alplesboden with the Alplesseen, which slopes down to the Schwarzachtal in the south. The north-west and south-east ridge drop steeply to the north-east to the Trojeralm valley .

Promotion opportunities

The easiest way to get to the eastern Erlsbacherspitze is the same as the normal route to the neighboring Seespitze. To do this, follow the marked path from the Jägerstube in St. Jakob Innerberg to the Seespitzhütte and around the Oberseitsee up to around 2900  m above sea level. A. Place on the south ridge of the Seespitze. There you cross above into the Kar with the Alplesseen and then climb over the southeast ridge to the eastern Erlsbach peak.
