Mezgit Kalesi

Öztürkmenli was a village in the Silifke district of the Turkish province of Mersin . Since a regional reform in 2014, the place is no longer a village, but a district of the district town of Silifke.

Öztürkmenli is located in the southeast of the district, about ten kilometers north of the district town of Silifke. The distance to the coastal town of Atakent is about eight kilometers as the crow flies, the driving distance about 13 kilometers.

About 300 meters east of the village are various Roman ruins, most of which are in modern use, as well as the temple tomb Mezgit Kalesi .
