The Øksendals tunnel is a single-tube road tunnel between Krokshamn and Øksendalsøra in Sunndal in the Norwegian province of Møre og Romsdal . It replaced the narrow road over Vettafjell, which was in danger of falling rocks.
The tunnel along Fylkesvei 62 is 5966 m long. As with many Norwegian road tunnels, there are difficulties with fogged vehicle windows ( dew point ) in certain weather conditions
