The Øvre Sandvatn ( Norwegian for Upper Sandsee is) a small lake at the Princess Astrid Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Lands . It is located in the eastern part of the Schirmacher Oasis . Its counterpart is the neighboring Nedre Sandvatn .
