The Nedre Sandvatn ( Norwegian for Lower Sand Sea ) is a small lake on the Princess Astrid Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located in the eastern part of the Schirmacher Oasis . Its counterpart is the neighboring Øvre Sandvatn .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named him.
