The ČSD series M 275.0 were four-axle diesel railcars for regional and express train services of the former Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD). Like the M 273.0 and M 274.0 series, the vehicles were assigned to the blue arrows .

history

After the era of motor vehicles with electrical power transmission for smaller vehicles began around 1928 at ČSD, vehicles with greater power and speed were built around 1933. They were intended for express and express train traffic on routes with a weak superstructure. The M 275.0 presented here are the 3rd type. They were supplied by ČKD , Praha , in 1934 and had electrical power transmission.

technical features

The railcars were powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine that was mounted in the engine room with the flange-mounted generator. The engine delivered an output of 350 hp. The tatzlager traction motors drove both axles of the rear bogie. The compartment was heated with the water from the cooling circuit and electrically.

The last two railcars, number 07 and 08, had an eight-cylinder engine with the same cylinder dimensions. This delivered an output of 450 hp. In addition, the external dimensions of the vehicles were increased.

commitment

They were preferably used in motorized express train traffic on the Prague - Reichenberg and Reichenberg - Teplitz-Schönau lines. All vehicles were therefore handed over to the Deutsche Reichsbahn in Bodenbach in 1938 and designated as VT 136.400–407. When the motorized railcar traffic was stopped due to the quota of diesel fuel, the vehicles were handed over to the railway administration of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . The vehicles were taken out of service around 1953.
