Časlav Klonimirović
Časlav Klonimirović , the son of Klonimir and grandson of Strojimir, was a great-grandson of Vlastimir , the first independent prince of Razia , and ruled as Greater Župan from around 933 to 950.
After the death of the Bulgarian tsar Simeon , Časlav became the Serbian Grand Župan with the help of Byzantium and Raszien was reorganized. According to Constantine VII Porphyrogennetos, the state of Časlavs included what is now western Serbia, eastern and central Bosnia, northern Montenegro and eastern Herzegovina. The Duklja (southern Montenegro) was also under the sovereignty of Časlav, who in turn recognized the sovereignty of the Byzantine emperor.
Časlav was killed in a surprise attack by the Hungarians at night after defeating the Hungarian prince Kis. With him the Vlastimirić dynasty ended.
Serbia was incorporated into Byzantium, although it can be assumed that Župane continued to rule the country, but their names have not been passed down. Serbian independence was only renewed under Stefan Vojislav (1040-1052).
