history

The place name Neuhäusel was recorded for the first time in 1764–1768 in the map of the Josephinian land survey . It first appeared in historical sources in 1780 under the name “Neuhäuseln”. It is always listed with “Česká Ves” (Bohemian village) in the residents' lists.

In 1930, 255 people lived in 28 houses in the village, making it larger than Česká Ves (Bohemian village) to which it belonged. The German population was expelled after the end of the Second World War .

The cause of the downfall was the location at the Iron Curtain . The houses were destroyed in the years 1952–1953 on the basis of an ordinance issued by the Interior Ministry of Czechoslovakia on July 30, 1948. It concerned border crossings, all roads near the border and the liquidation of buildings in a strip about two kilometers wide along the state border.
