Česlovas Kazimieras Blažys (born August 18, 1943 in Kybartai , district Vilkaviškis ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and politician , Minister of the Interior of Lithuania (1999-2000).

Life

From 1965 to 1970 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Vilnius University and from 1977 to 1980 at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR . In 1967 he joined the militia . Until 1977 he worked as an inspector and chief inspector, from 1981 to 1989 head of the district internal affairs department in Vilnius , from 1990 to 1991 department head of Lietuvos policijos akademija , from 1991 chief police commissioner at the police department at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania , 1993-1995 director of the immigration service under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. From 1995 to 1997 he worked as CEO of the company "Gelvora". From 1997 to 1999 he headed the Vilnius Police Department . From June 1, 1999 to October 30, 2000 he was Minister of the Interior of Lithuania .
