Čezeta (pronunciation: Tschesetta ) was a Czechoslovak motor scooter series built from 1957 . It was based on the 175 cm³ or 200 cm³ two-stroke engine from the manufacturer Česká zbrojovka (ČZ) in Strakonice. The streamlined fairing with the luggage rack on the tank, which was mounted above the front wheel, was striking .
From 2013 the former model name of the scooter was continued to be used by the Czechoslovak company Čezeta Motors sro .
Technology and building types
The scooters initially had an output of 8 HP (from 1961 9.5 HP), could be started with an electric or kick starter and reached a top speed of around 90 km / h. The fuel tank had a volume of 11 liters.
The following types are known:
- Čezeta Scooter ČZ 501, ČZ 502; sometimes with Plexiglas - windshield and handlebar cover
- Čezeta tricycle ČZ 505 (1962/1963). In various construction variants as an agile delivery vehicle in use. The engine power was reduced in favor of the higher payload.
- N-Zeta, a Čezeta assembled between 1958/1959 and 1964 in New Zealand by JNZ Manufacturing Ltd in order to avoid high customs duties for finished products. It was equipped with a more powerful 200 cc engine.
- Čezeta ČZ 506, an electric scooter designed in 2012 and manufactured from 2013, with lithium-ion batteries, manufactured by the newly established company Čezeta Motors sro
