İlkem Özkaynak (born May 1, 1982 in Kırklareli ) is a Turkish football player who currently plays for Kırklarelispor .

Career

Club career

İlkem Özkaynak started club football in the youth of Kırklarelispor . In the summer of 1999 he moved to Çanakkale Dardanelspor and completed five seasons for this club.

For the 2005/06 season he then moved to the first division club Kayseri Erciyesspor and worked here for two years. At the end of the 2006/07 season, the club failed to stay up, which is why Özkaynak left the club and moved to league rivals Ankaragücü for the upcoming season . For this club he played three seasons. While he was a regular player for the first two seasons, he lost his regular place in the third season and only played three matches over the entire season.

Therefore he left Ankaragücü and switched to Antalyaspor in summer 2009 . Here, too, he was more of a reservist and had to leave the club after his one-year contract had expired.

For the new season he went to his former club and current third division club Kırklarelispor . Here he played the first half of the season. For the second half of the season he moved to the second division Adanaspor . Here you reached the end of the season to the playoff final of the TFF 1st Lig . In the final they lost to Kasımpaşa Istanbul 2: 3 in extra time and thus missed promotion to the Süper Lig only in the last encounter.

In the summer of 2014, he returned to his former club Kırklarelispor.

National team

İlkem Özkaynak went through the Turkish U-18 national youth team.

Trivia

  • Özkaynak always wears the jersey with the number 39 whenever possible . The license plates in Turkey are designed so that each of the 81 provinces is assigned a number. Since the home province Özkaynkas has been assigned the 39, Öynak bears this number.
