İlyas Has (born May 5, 1945 in Izmir ; died October 7, 1984 in Buca ) was a Turkish devrimci-yol activist and the penultimate person on whom the death penalty was carried out in Turkey .

On June 7, 1980, Has and other comrades ambushed a security guard with the intention of stealing his pistol, as the party had ordered. Although the killing was not planned, Has shot the already injured guard. Has was arrested on December 28, 1980. The verdict was passed on January 18, 1982 by a military tribunal of the special administration following the 1980 military coup in İzmir. The court found Has guilty of attempting to forcibly alter the constitutional order. Has admitted the act, but unsuccessfully asserted insanity . The sentence was after exhausting all appeals and confirmed by the Parliament in October 1984 in the detention center of Buca by the train enforced.

According to one cellmate, Has was woken up shortly after midnight and taken away without giving him permission to dress. His lawyer reported that he was put on his death shirt and allowed to write a final letter to the family. Has wrote in it:

At this moment I give you my final message. I haven't done anything to be ashamed of. This accusation that troubles you today will do you credit later. Be certain of it.

After a brief medical examination, Has was taken to the execution site. Those present reported that Has kicked the chair away himself. Has was buried in an unknown location. His grave was discovered 28 years after his death.
