Şahan Gökbakar

Şahan Gökbakar (born October 22, 1980 in İzmir , Turkey ) is a Turkish comedian , actor , presenter and screenwriter .

Life

Gökbakar grew up in the Turkish capital Ankara . His father, Osman Selçuk Gökbakar, died in a traffic accident on his eighth birthday in 1988. There he attended the renowned Technical University of the Middle East . In 1997 he made his (Turkish) high school diploma and then studied theater and art at Bilkent University .

After settling in Istanbul after graduation, Gökbakar tried his luck by participating in various promotional picks for a while. He later prepared a program called Zıbın , which was broadcast on TV8 on New Year's Eve between 2003 and 2004 . He was also the presenter for five weeks on 7th Day , which was broadcast live on TRT 1 on Sundays . Then he started hosting a hidden camera competitive program called Zoka , previously presented by Kamil Guler . The show was canceled after 13 episodes.

His weekly show Dikkat Şahan Çıkabilir (be careful, Şahan might appear) ran on atv-Türkiye on Fridays . After that he had a talk show, Kime diyorum ben (Who am I telling this?).

In 2007 he shot the movie Recep İvedik with him in the lead role, which was released in 2008. The film was a success and became the most watched film in Turkey at the time. His brother Togan Gökbakar directed the film . In 2009 the sequel Recep İvedik 2 appeared , which was even more successful. There are now six parts.

His subject area is the media landscape in Turkey, its discussion, reality and advice shows. Gökbakar is married and has two children.
