Recep İvedik 3 is a Turkish feature film by the director Togan Gökbakar from 2010. The production represents the third part of the Recep İvedik trilogy. The first part was released in 2008, the second part was released in 2009. The fourth part was published in early 2014, followed by Recep İvedik 5 in 2017 .

Recep invited all the older women in the neighborhood to his home. He asks the eldest (Nezat Abla) for advice against his depression. She recommends that he go to a faith healer ( hoca ). This is what he does. The alleged Hoca persuades him that there is a demon in him and mixes him a potion. When Recep drinks this mixture, he feels sick. He lies on the floor and the Hoca comes to his aid, but when suddenly a team of revelation cameras comes into the room, it looks as if the Hoca is rape Recep.
The next day, Recep and Salih Agabey, who runs a corner shop, saw the report about the wrong Hoca. Then Salih Agabey offers him to fight his depression that he should go hunting with him. Recep goes along, but he prefers to do his gymnastics in the forest. He runs into a bush and is shot by the hunters because they thought there was a bear in the bush.
Recep is in the hospital and the bullets are removed. He speaks to the doctor and the doctor recommends that he see a psychiatrist. When Recep stops after the first session with the psychiatrist, he is lying around at home depressed and doesn't know what to do. Suddenly the doorbell rings and it is the daughter of a friend, Zeynep. She was kicked out of her dormitory and asks Recep to stay with him until she has an apartment again.
On the first day, Recep accompanies her to her lecture because Zeynep is studying. He then argues with their professor and they leave the lecture. Then both go to the university library, where Recep accidentally breaks Zeynep's new laptop. Zeynep freaks out and then wants to move to Recep that evening. He then sells books from the library that he has brought outside. He goes to an electronics store and buys her an outdated laptop. Zeynep forgives him and then doesn't move out.
After numerous activities such as a kung fu, paintball, flute class, pottery class, public viewing, dance class, theater visit, etc. Recep still feels not okay. When Zeynep then learns that today is Recep's birthday, she throws a surprise party for Recep, but he is at the hairdresser's with Zeynep and gets blonde hair, which then causes him to pass out. When they get home, Recep is surprised and very happy.
The next morning Zeynep is not home and Recep sees a goat on the bed. The goat is a belated gift from Zeynep for Recep. The goat has a message around its neck that is from Zeynep. It's her farewell letter. In the letter she also says that Recep is only depressed because he lives alone.
At the end you see Recep walking the goat in the park. Both the looks of an attractive lady immediately attract you so that Recep finally gets into conversation with her.
Records
Like its predecessor Recep İvedik 2 , the film was a huge success and broke several records in Turkey, for example it was seen by a total of 1.79 million people in the first three days, the highest number a Turkish film has ever seen reached so far.
