Şamil Erdoğan

Şamil Erdoğan , b. Shamil Akhmedov , (born July 15, 1990 in Kisiljurt , Dagestani SSR ) is a Turkish wrestler of Russian origin.

Life

He started for Russia at the beginning of his career and was free style junior world champion in the class up to 96 kg in 2010. Among the active players, he was able to win several international tournaments: 2011 Golden Grand Prix, 2011 Henri Deglane Challenge and Dave Schultz Memorial International, 2012 International Olympia Tournament, Ramzan Kadyrov Cup and Moscow Lights, 2013 Dmitri Korkin Tournament and Moscow Lights.

Then he switched to the Turkish Association and changed his name.

doping

At the wrestling world championships in 2014 , he first won the bronze medal in the class up to 97 kg. However, he was tested positive for stanozolol during a doping control during the title fights held in Tashkent in September of the same year and banned for two years. He had to return the bronze medal he won in 2014.
