The ŠKP Bratislava ( Športový klub polície Bratislava ; German  Polizeisportverein Bratislava ) is a Slovak police sports club from Bratislava , which is organized into departments for various sports, some of which operate independently today.

  • Sokol Červená hviezda Bratislava (1952 to 1953, abbreviation Sokol Čh)
  • Ústredný dom Červenej hviezdy Bratislava (1953 to 1956, abbreviation ÚD Čh)
  • TJ Červená hviezda Bratislava (1956 to 1990, abbreviation TJ Čh)

Soccer

The football division merged with FC Tatran Devín in August 1997 and with FC Dúbravka in 2003 .

Handball

The club's handball teams are among the most successful teams in Slovakia.

  • Daniela Pešková (participant in the 2008 Olympic Games, Junior World Champion)
  • Ján Fabo (participant in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, medal winner at European Championships)

Canoeing

The ŠKP Bratislava has produced a number of canoeists ( canoe racing , canoe slalom and white water racing ) who were successful at the Summer Olympics and World Championships:

ice Hockey

In the 1940s and 1950s, the ice hockey team played in the 2nd division and took part in the promotion round to promotion to the 1st division in 1946 . Several junior and women's teams play for the club under the name HC ŠKP Bratislava. The latter participates in the Slovak women's ice hockey league as well as the Elite Women's Hockey League and the EWHL Super Cup .

volleyball

Set 1992 the volleyball department is independent and plays under the name VKP Bratislava ( Volejbalový Klub Polície Bratislava ). The team was three times Czechoslovak and eleven times Slovak champions.
