In the 1959/60 European Cup , the team won the preliminary round against FC Porto 2: 1 and 2: 0 before they were eliminated in the round of 16 with 3: 4 and 1: 1 against Glasgow Rangers . In the following years Červená hviezda was fifth, second and third in 1961/62.
