Football in Czechoslovakia
Football in Czechoslovakia refers to football in Czechoslovakia in the years 1918–1992, when the Czechs and Slovaks lived together in a common state. There are some special features for the years 1938–1945.
The football association
On March 26, 1922, the Czechoslovak Football Association (Československá associace footballová, ČSAF) was founded. It consisted of the Czechoslovak Football Association (Československý svaz footballový, ČSSF), the German Football Association (DFV), the Hungarian Football Association MLSz, the Jewish Association KMKRJ and the Polish Association PZPN. On May 20, 1923, the Czechoslovak Football Association was incorporated into FIFA .

The superiority of the clubs from the capital of Czechoslovakia was impressive (in the first 20 years of the republic there were only champions from Prague , in the first 30 years only champions from Prague or Bratislava ):

- Slavia Prague 12 tracks
- FK Dukla Prague 11 titles
two Slovak clubs follow
- Slovan Bratislava 8 tracks
- Spartak Trnava 5 tracks
and only then a Czech club not from Prague
