Football isthe most popular sportin San Marino . The San-Marinese football association Federazione Sammarinese Giuoco Calcio was founded in 1931, but was not included in FIFA and UEFA until 1988. In addition to the cup that has been held since 1937 and the championship that has been held since 1985, it also organizes the national team . The only professional football club in the country of San Marino Calcio takes part in the Italian Lega Pro Prima Divisione .

National team

The San Marino national team was founded in 1986 and played their first official international match against Switzerland in 1990 .

In addition to the only 1-0 win against Liechtenstein, San Marino was able to achieve a 0-0 win against Turkey, a 1-1 win against Latvia, a 2-2 win against Liechtenstein and a 0-0 win against Estonia in November 2014 in the European Championship qualifiers .
