The Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio 1987/88 was the third season of the San Marinese football league . The four best teams after a round-trip round and the two best of the A2 series played for the title in a master playoff.

SP Tre Fiori won the first title in the club's history with a final victory over defending champion SC Faetano .

    Master playoff

    In addition to the four best teams in the regular season, the two best teams in the A2 series, SS San Giovanni and SS Virtus , were eligible to start in the master playoff. These two teams also rose to the first division in the next season . The master playoff was played in the double knockout system .
