Footballer of the Year (Czechoslovakia)
The title Czechoslovak Footballer of the Year was an honor given by the Czechoslovak sports magazine Stadion in cooperation with the Czechoslovak Football Association from 1965 until the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1992 . Sports journalists and football coaches were entitled to vote .
The long-time Czechoslovak national goalkeeper Ivo Viktor von Dukla Prague was awarded a total of five times between 1968 and 1976, and thus by far the most frequently.
The honor was replaced in 1993 by the election of Footballer of the Year for the Czech Republic and Slovakia .
