Ghana's Footballer of the Year

The most outstanding player of a season is honored annually in Ghana as Footballer of the Year . The Footballer of the Year has been elected and honored annually by the members of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) since 1973 . In 1999, Joe Fameyeh was named "ABC Footballer of the Year," which is a competitive award.

List of title holders

  • Year : states the year for which the player was awarded.
  • Date : States the date of the award, in brackets the number of the event at which the player was honored.
  • Name : gives the name of the player.
  • Nationality : states the nationality of the player.
  • Club : Name the club the player played for at the end of the year.
  • Nominees : Names the players who were nominated for the spectator vote, which has been held since 2005, but who lost to the winner.
