Netherlands Footballer of the Year
With the title Footballer of the Year of the Honor Division (Voetballer van het Jaar van de Eredivisie) the best player in the Eredivisie has been awarded every year since 1984 . Actually, this title was awarded as Golden Shoe (Gouden Schoen) by the newspapers De Telegraaf and Voetbal International since 1982, and in 2006 the two awards were merged.
The best young player is honored with the Johan Cruijff Prijs , the best coach with the Rinus Michels Award .
