Adam Maher (born July 20, 1993 in Ait Izzou ) is a Dutch football player .

Career

society

Maher played for SV Diemen and AVV Zeeburgia in his youth and then moved to AZ Alkmaar . There he came on December 15, 2010 for his first professional appearance in the Europa League game against BATE Baryssau , in which he scored a goal. His debut in the Eredivisie followed on March 6, 2011 in the game against Ajax Amsterdam .

During the 2013 summer break, Maher moved to PSV Eindhoven . The fee was eight million euros. For the 2016/17 season he was loaned from this club to the Turkish first division club Osmanlıspor FK . The move to Twente Enschede followed in January 2018 .

From September 2018 Maher was again under contract with his youth club AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch first division. A year later he moved to FC Utrecht .

National team

He made his debut for the Dutch U-21 national team on November 14, 2011 when he was on the starting line-up for the game against Scotland . His first appearance for the Dutch national football team followed on August 15, 2012 in the game against Belgium .
