Jean-Christophe Bahebeck (born May 1, 1993 in Saint-Denis ) is a French football player of Cameroonian descent. He is currently under contract with the Dutch first division club FC Utrecht .

Birth and family

Jean-Christophe Bahebeck was born in 1993 in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis; his parents are from Cameroon.

Career

Jean-Christophe Bahebeck started playing football in 2000 in the youth of Persan CS ML . In 2003 he left the club. It wasn't long before Bahebeck found a new club; then he went to the youth of the US Persan . In 2007 he moved to the youth of Paris Saint-Germain . Since the beginning of 2011, Bahebeck has also been part of the professional team. He made his debut in the professional team on March 2, 2011. In the 2-0 victory in the quarter-finals of the French Football Cup against FC Le Mans , Bahebeck came on in the 76th minute for Mevlüt Erdinç ; on his debut in the professional team, he scored 1-0. Three days later he came to his first appearance in Ligue 1 ; in the 0-1 defeat on the 26th match day against AJ Auxerre , Bahebeck was substituted on for Péguy Luyindula in the 71st minute . By the end of the season, Bahebeck was used in ten other games, where he was substituted on nine times. In the cup competition you got to the final, which you lost against OSC Lille . In the final Bahebeck was denied an appearance and he just sat on the bench.

In the league, Paris Saint-Germain finished fourth in the table, which was equivalent to qualifying for the play-offs for the UEFA Europa League . In the play-offs you could prevail against the Luxembourg representative FC Differdingen 03 ; Bahebeck scored a goal in the first leg. That made it into the group stage.

Bahebeck made his European debut on September 29, 2011. In the 2-0 defeat of the Parisians against Athletic Bilbao , Bahebeck came on in the 58th minute for Javier Pastore . At the end of the group stage, PSG were eliminated. Bahebeck made four appearances in the group stage.

For the 2012/13 season Bahebeck moved to ES Troyes AC on loan . For the 2013/14 season he was loaned to Valenciennes FC .

For the 2015/16 season Bahebeck was loaned to AS Saint-Étienne . Loans to Delfino Pescara in 1936 and FC Utrecht followed .

National team

Bahebeck has been playing for France's national teams since the U-16s .
